Maria Gray

Maria was born in New Orleans, and was part of a large rich family. She grew up an extremely sheltered life, never really having the oppurtunity to leave the house. But when she turned ten she came into her divination powers, which she quickly learned how to control with the help of her grandmother, who possesed the same power. But when she turned 18 and set off for college she gained her secondary mutation which she used every night to "escape" and be free. But those nightly escapades drew attention to her, but not from the X-men but from the Brotherhood, which she joined for a short time, and in this time she developed a crush on Cain Marko, but was too afraid to admit it. She eventually saw a powerful vision that showed her a horrible future if she continued on her path with the Brotherhood, so she left, and traveled for a bit and then went back to college and got her degree in education. She soon began to travel again where she met Peter Ames, and the two developed a budding relationship, but then Peter left to work at the Xavier Institute, and Maria was left alone, but she recieved an email a few days later inviting her to come teach at the same school, she immediately traveled to the Institute to become the new History teacher.
